My Little Boy is FIVE!

I can NOT believe that I did not post on Drew's fifth birthday :( Bad, bad Mommy :( But here are all the little details! Drew's birthday was on a Wednesday and we had his party (or should I say parties) the Saturday before. He wanted his birthday at Young's Gymnastics and it happened to be scheduled the same day as Katie Grace's (a little girl in his preschool) party at the same place!!! So we decided to combine the parties and have a double birthday for the two of them! It was so much fun and both Drew and Katie Grace were very "into" sharing their birthday with the other. The morning started off hectic because we had tons of running around to do, a soccer game at 9 and the party at 11. Craziness! But Drew was so very excited!

On the balance beam with Jackson and Jack

Swinging on the rope!

Getting ready for the highlight of the party! The Peter Pan high flying swing!
So excited...

and then...not so sure...

getting all suited up...
ready to fly high...
Finally in the air!!! All smiles!
We made individual dirt cakes in flower pots and gave garden shovels and seeds as party favors! Of course Drew and Katie Grace needed a cake with candles to blow out, so I made two vanilla cakes to put candles in. Drew thought that this meant it was ALL his and just started eating it right off of the serving plate with a fork!

Make a wish!

The girls enjoyed their big brothers party too!

We also had our neighborhood buddies over Saturday night! Such a fun, fun time! Kevin was in charge of the camera so I don't have any really good pictures :( Will try to find some and post later!
On Drew's birthday (which was the next Wednesday) I made brownies for his class as a special treat and was the mystery reader at preschool, so got to go into his class and read to them. I picked him up and we went to Toys R Us and picked out a toy. Then we met Daddy and went to the movies, while Nanny and Poppy kept the girls! Drew was SOOOOO excited to go to the movies and LOVED it! He kept asking if it was 4 o'clock yet? and when are we going to be there? I had him reciting directions back to me so that he would know EXACTLY when we were going to be there! Too, too, funny!
I really can't believe that he is FIVE!!! I love that little man more that he could ever know! Happy Birthday Drew!
